Today I am going to throw it back to a souvenir from one of my favorite trips: a two-week trip to Spain and Italy with Jenny, one of my oldest friends. We met in kindergarten, lived near each other, and have been friends ever since. We decided in 2014 that we were going to Europe in 2015. We had many fun planning dinners and narrowed our cities to Barcelona (my favorite city on the planet!), Seville, Florence, and Venice.
As I mentioned previously, I have changed how I shop for souvenirs over the years. I try to find things that are going to be useful long-term, or decorative so I can enjoy them around the house all the time. I found this small, decorative plate in Seville, and managed to get it home without breaking it. Elaborately painted items are plentiful in Spain, and I also picked up a painted tile that I will show you another time. The plate hangs in my kitchen, while the tile is still waiting to be properly framed – maybe I will finally get to that this year. After all, it has only been 7 and a half years!
Anyone else picking up decorative items as souvenirs? Share in the comments!
